Grow Through It

This is what has been going through my mind the last few weeks.  Don’t just GO through it, but GROW through it!   I personally feel like God is using this season to mold us and shape us into the image of Christ.  The reality is we don’t have the luxury of choosing our circumstances, but we can choose how we will respond.  Romans 5: 3,4 says, “we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”  The word used here for sufferings means “pressure.”  What a paradox!  Praise is the answer to pressure.

Praise is an outward expression of a deep inner faith in the faithfulness of God.  Don’t just go through the pressures and pains of life but grow through the events of what you have to face with praise.  I encourage you to take full advantage of Life’s learning experiences, whether they are positive or negative.  There is always an opportunity in every situation to grow in the Lord as you go through life’s events.

Remember as you Grow through it instead of just GOING through it, God will give you perseverance (to endure patiently with expectant faith) that will produce character and character will, "according to the Apostle Paul” give you HOPE.
